Our dedicated students have been putting their writing skills to the test, all leading up to our dazzling "Star Write". SATS Companion Information Session 📚✏️

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all the amazing parents who attended our recent information session about SATS Companion. This invaluable tool is helping our students enormously with their SATS preparations, and we are thrilled to see high engagement within the class. 

To further optimize learning experiences, individual laptops have been sent home with our motivated Year 6 students. With this powerful combination of technology and knowledge, we are confident that our students will achieve nothing short of excellence in their SATs!

In our mission to understand the mysteries of the Ancient Maya civilization, Year 6 has been meticulously analyzing contrasting data to draw our own conclusions. 

Through engaging and thought-provoking discussions, our students have been shedding light on the factors that led to the fall of this once-great civilization. Their hard work and critical thinking are truly commendable!

🌟 Introducing Our Pupil Leadership Team! 🌟

We are delighted to announce that our Head Boy for this academic year is Enoch, and our Head Girl is Julia! They will be supported by Deputy Head Boy - Patrick and Deputy Head Girl - Mia. Together, they will make an exceptional pupil leadership team. 

 

🏊‍♂️ Splashing Success at Our First Swimming Lesson! 🏊‍♀️

Last week, we took our first dip into the world of swimming for this academic year! Our students proudly walked to Wordsley School to use their pool, and they showcased exemplary behaviour as fantastic ambassadors for Hawbush. They impressed us with their swimming skills and were a credit to our school!

In Religious Education this week, we've been exploring big questions that have puzzled humanity for centuries. One of the questions we've pondered is "What happens after death?" 💭 We've sparked insightful discussions and even delved into religious artworks that offer different perspectives on life beyond this world.

This week, we have dived deep into the fascinating world of the Ancient Maya civilization. Through virtual exploration using Google Maps, we have wandered through ancient ruins, unraveling their secrets and uncovering the mysteries of this ancient civilization. From towering temples to intricate artwork, our curious minds have been captivated by the wonders of the Maya culture. 

 

We have also been busy creating our own timelines to chart the rise and fall of the Maya civilization. From their earliest beginnings to their enduring legacy, we have traced the significant events and developments that shaped the history of this remarkable civilization. Our creativity and historical insights have truly shone through. Check out our hard work below.

 

This week’s Celebration assembly was extra special as we had the privilege of listening to inspiring speeches from our Head Boy and Head Girl candidates. They confidently showcased their leadership qualities and shared their visions for our school’s future. It was a proud moment for us all to witness their passion and commitment. Now, it's time for our school community to cast their votes!

Welcome back Year 6! smiley

We are thrilled to welcome our Year 6 students back to school for an exciting new term! It's been a long summer break, and we couldn't wait to dive into a year filled with learning, growth, and unforgettable memories. 

 

Year 6 have returned to school with incredible maturity and a heightened sense of responsibility. 💪 They have quickly adapted to the challenges of being in their final year, embracing new roles and opportunities.

As part of their increased responsibilities, we are excited to introduce our new house captains:

Ravenclaw: Amelia and Dwaine

These exceptional Year 6 students have been chosen for their outstanding leadership qualities and dedication to our school community. We are confident they will lead their houses to great success.

 

In addition, speech writing for our head boy and girl positions are now in full swing! We are immensely proud of the candidates who have stepped forward, displaying exemplary qualities and a true commitment to our school's ethos.
