This week's focus is:

 

Activity 1 - Listen to the story The Tiger who Came to Tea

Some questions to ask your child..

Can you retell the story to a family member?

Can you sequence the events of the story?

Who are the characters?

Some questions to ask them to think about.

How did Sophie feel when she opened the door to a Tiger?

How did mum feel when the Tiger ate all the food?

What do you think dad will say when he arrives home?

What would you and your family do if  tiger knocked the door? 

 

Activity 2 - Plan a tea party. You could have a picnic with your family or toys

1. Write an invitation to to ask them to tea.

2. Write a shopping list.

Sophie had a tiger to tea - tell an adult who you would like to have and why you have chosen them. 

Add a number to show how many you need on your shopping list:

1 pot of tea

2 cup cakes

4 sandwiches

                                          8 biscuits

Activity 3 -Learn about Tigers in the wild. 

Did you know that tigers are are the largest big cat in the world?

What would tigers really eat?

Where do they live in the wild?

How do they move?

What are their babies called?

Or can you label a tiger?

Activity 4 -Tiger Art.

Try one of these ideas or paint , model or draw your own.

Activity 5 - Hey Tiger! Sing and Dance along

Listen to the Tiger song, join in and have fun moving and dancing around like a Tiger.
