Watch the video and talk together about the animal amounts.
- Which group of animals has more (lots/ a greater amount)? You can use different words to help them understand quantities.
- Which group of animals has less (not many/fewer)?
- Do any of the groups of animals have the same amount ?
Using some numbers cards (from the learning pack or make your own) 1-10.
Then turn over a number card.
Can you count items to match that amount?
Then turn over another number card.
Again can you count items to match that amount?
Which has more/less or the same?
Try to encourage children to talk about the amounts they have and compare.
Repeat this with different number cards.
