WALT: extend sentences using conjunctions.

Before we go onto writing our instructions in tomorrow's lesson, we are going to develop our instruction sentences first.  You know that in your instructions you would have a fronted adverbial to show the order and an imperative verb to explain the action that is needed.

We are going to develop our instruction sentences today by using conjunctions to join ideas together.

Here are some sentence examples where I have highlighted the conjunctions.

When the mammoth is in the bath, keep massaging his trunk and feeding him delicious apples as this will keep him calm whilst you are washing him.

During his bath, make sure you scrub behind his huge ears but make sure you don't get any soap suds in his eyes or up his nose! He absolutely hates this so he might hit you with his trunk.
