Written Outcome  (Part 1)

Before we start writing our instructions, we first want to create a list of what we will need. Use the instructions you've already written to help you write your list - go through and see what it is you have used already.

In my instructions, I used apples as treats so that is definitely something I need on my list.

Use this to write your 'you will need' list.

An example:

Things you will need:

  • apples
  • an extremely large bath
  • a shower head
  • mammoth friendly body wash
  • a gigantic towel

Lesson 2 - Inference

In this lesson, we want to look making inferences. Inference is when you have an idea about the book where you build on what you know from reading the book and your own experiences and you use  evidence from the book to support your ideas.

We use an acronym to help us remember how to structure our ideas..... we PEE.

Point

What do you think based on what you have read so far and personal experiences?

Evidence

Use evidence from the text - things what the characters have said or words that the author has used to make you think this.

Explain

What does this evidence mean to you? How does it show that you are right?

For this part, we often use.... This means that.....

Here is the question I would like you to use PEE for today...

How do you think Lady Agatha felt when she saw the ghastly figure in the darkness?
