English

Practice writing using the past tense.

Can you find the past tense of these words:

- run                    - laugh                     - sing

- go                     - watch                     - see

- play                   - walk                      - eat

- ride                   - wash                      - drink

Please select the past tense of 3 of these words and create your own sentences.

Here is an example:

"I went to the park and played on the swings."

Lesson 4

Watch the video below to see a step-by-step past tense activity.

Maths

Hello year 2, this week we are going to be practicing our addition and subtraction skills.

Remember you can use objects that you have available at home to support accurate counting.

Please watch today's video on addition and complete the worksheet below.

D&T

Join me and my daughter, Erin to make some yummy flapjacks.

To follow the video you will need:

- 75g caster sugar

- 4 tbsp honey/golden syrup

- 350g oats

- 225g of butter

If you don't have these ingredients, don't worry!! Why not cook with your grown up using a different recipe? Or ever just make a concoction like the Grinling's! Maybe you could just practice using weighing scales.

Remember to send in pictures of your creations to year2@hawbush.dudley.sch.uk

I look forward to seeing what you get up to!

**hint - think back to our weight/mass topic last week. Can you remember what units we use when we weigh food?
