Reading Raffle:
Welcome to the Hall of Year 3 Reading Raffle Winners!
Our reading raffle has been devised by Mr Lambrou in order to encourage our children to read their home reading books more often.
Reading is the gateway to the rest of the curriculum and can open up so many opportunities for our children!
You at home play an important part in this and even reading with or to your child for 10 minutes every day can make a massive difference.
Reading and knowledge of stories helps children expand their vocabulary, talk with greater grammatical awareness and become fabulous writers.
At school, we provide many opportunities to teach the skills of reading but we need to work in partnership with you at home to really make a difference.
To encourage this, I have been offering Year 3 raffle tickets for every day that I see that their reading record has been signed.
At the end of the week, we have our reading raffle and the winning ticket will receive the prize box which contains:
1 book from the reading corner
1 stuffed animal to accompany your Childs reading
1 bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate
2 Packets of Cadbury Hot Chocolate
This Box, Book and Stuffed Animal MUST BE RETURNED to school on the Monday so it can be cleaned and decontaminated ready for the next child!
We hope to see your children enjoying reading throughout their time at Hawbush.
