Listening and sharing a story

Listen to the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'.

Together join in with the repeated phrases.

Talk about the different places that they see.

Encourage your child to join in with the sounds and create actions throughout the story.

Activity Two

Going on a woodland walk.

Go and explore your local area. 

Talk about the places that you see and areas that are the same as the book (a grassed area, a muddy place, a woodland). 

Can you remember and say some of the sounds that were in the story (swishy, swashy for the grass)?   

Could you collect some nature items on your way (twigs, grass) ready to create a collage for the next activity?

Could you create a collage to show different places the characters went on their hunt?
