Week beginning 22.6.20
Read chapter 5 of Who Let The Gods Out? where it talks about Virgo as an Immortal.
Create a piece of writing explaining what your Immortal powers would be.
My incredible, immortal powers would be to severely banish any other peasant immortal from the realm. Due to more hard-hitting strength, I would create jails and prisons for the mortals to rot like old food. I would choose to be invisible, however I would be able to switch this power on and off when I please (as I am the most powerful immortal ever). Would I feel pain? No, the only thing I would feel is my opponents heart slamming through their chest due to my towering presence.
Expanded noun phrase (incredible, immortal powers)
Alliteration (incredible, immortal)
adverb and verb (severely banish)
Fronted adverbial (Due to my hard-hitting strength,)
simile (rot like old food)
brackets (as I am the most powerful immortal ever)

Personification (heart slamming through their chest).
Reading - Chapter 5
Research all the Ancient Greek Gods, including Zeus, and write what they're known for.
Zeus is retiring!
Zeus is one of the most noble and powerful Gods, if not the most! He has had a long run in of being King of the Gods... but now he feels like it is time to rest.
All the other Ancient Greek Gods want to be number 1! Pick one God which you think would be best suited to be King (or Queen) and explain why you have picked that specific God.
(Mr Ross thinks it has to be Ares).
Create a poster/sign supporting the God you have chosen. Think of bold writing, big letters and something to catch peoples eye.
