English - Adventure Stories

 

I would like to say a massive thank you to every child who set work in to me last week, I was very impressed with the work you have provided. Well done to all of you!

 

Last week we continued to look at adventure stories and what different features we might include within them. You also should now have planned what your own adventure story is going to look like.

 

This week, we are going to be drafting each section of our Adventure Story. By the end of the week, you should have written your very own adventure story using all of the different features that we have looked at over the last few weeks.

 

Monday

 

Today, I would like you to begin to draft your adventure story.

 

I would like you to use your plan to draft the introduction to your story.

 

Think about the different features that you have looked at over the last few weeks. How could you use the effectively within your story?

 

Tuesday

 

Today, I would like you to carry on with the  drafting stage of your adventure story.

Project Based Learning - The Amazing Egyptians

 

Thank you for all of your fantastic work last week, I was really impressed with your fact sheets about the different Pharaohs that ruled over Egypt.

 

This week, we are going to be learning about the Egyptian beliefs about God.

 

Like many different Ancient Civilisations the Ancient Egyptians believed in many different Gods and held many different Religious Beliefs.

 

The Ancient Egyptians would pray to Gods to either hope good things would happen or to stop bad things from happening! Sacrifices would also be made to the Gods to keep them happy and make sure that the Egyptians were looked after. These sacrifices would often take place in a temple and were an important aspect of day to day life in Ancient Egypt.

 

This week, you are going to have 2 different activities!

 

Activity One:

 

I would like you to complete the worksheet detailing the different Gods that the Ancient Egyptians believed in. I would like you to write information about the different Gods on the worksheet (or a piece of paper) provided. In the blank box next to each information box I would like you to draw either an animal to represent each God or a picture that you think would represent them best.

 

Activity Two:

 

I would like you to look at the image of an Egyptian temple that you have been given. Can you draw your own design for an Ancient Egyptian temple. Can you label the correct parts of your temple?
