Maths

 

For Maths this week please click on the link below to White Rose Maths home learning. I would like you to continue onto week two - ratio and angles. First of all watch the video clip for each day, followed up with the the daily activity for 30 minutes each day. If you can't print out the work sheet please verbally complete each question or write them on some paper/books you may have.

Task 1: Write a howler from one of the characters to another, don't forget the correct layout of a letter. Write your howler on paper or on a device and then email them to year6@hawbush.dudley.sch.uk. I look forward to reading them!

 

Task 2: Following your howler task, please find your next activity below (Harry Potter letter task). There are two elements to this one.

 

Topic

 

Last weeks Battle of Camp Hill task was the final bit of historical research element to last terms topic. If you can remember our driving question was:

 

Is it a fair system that you can only become a Monarch based on your lineage?

 

Looking at how Oliver Cromwell came to rule Great Britain due to his success as an army leader. He is the only person in history to do so that had no 'blood link' to the throne. Think about the current Monarchy. Prince Harry or just Harry now he has denounced his Royal status. Do you think it it is fair that he went from being 3rd in line to the Crown down to 6th in line due to his older brother, Prince William, having his three children. 

 

I would like you to create a persuasive piece of writing arguing whether or not you agree with the regime. Remember all the elements of of persuasive writing. If you can't I have added the powerpoint we looked at when in school.

 

Curriculum

 

This week I want you to get creative with natural items you find outside. Collect items such as leaves, stones, twigs etc.. from the garden, out on your daily walking/running exercise. Read the attached PDF to see what you need create. Take a picture and email to the year 6 email account.
