Project Based Learning - The Amazing Egyptians

Hello Year 3,

I want to firstly say thank you to all the children who sent me their hieroglyphs from last week. They looked amazing and I can see that you have worked really hard.

This week, we will be carrying on with our work on the Ancient Egyptians.

I want you to look at the map of Ancient Egypt below.

Once you have done this, you can use this map to draw what the Kingdoms of Ancient Egypt looked like.

Are you able to replicate the map below?

Are you able to label and key areas on the map? For example, do we know what the name of the river that runs through Egypt is?

Do we know what the cities were called?

You can use this sheet if you'd prefer instead of blank paper

Dear Parents,

Your child was having a Vocal lesson in school once a week. To keep them going I have created some short films that they can watch and join in with.  All you need to do is click on the links below in the order you see them, and the lesson will appear.

Before you start watching get yourselves ready, ask your child to sing a few notes and you are ready to go!  There will be another set of films next week and you can use the films more than once – in fact, the more the better.

Take Care,

Miss Ashman - Vocal teacher
