Maths - Multiplication and Division

I would like you to begin on Summer Term Week 4 - Multiplying and Dividing by 4 and 8
First of all watch the video clip for each day, followed up with the the daily activity for 30 minutes each day.
If you can't print out the work sheet please verbally complete each question or show your working and answers on a piece of paper.
Monday: Walt: recall multiplication facts in the 4 and 8 times tables
For todays maths lesson we are going to be playing a game called Barmy Army.
The objective of the game is simple!
You can walk or march around (like a soldier) your garden counting up quietly, one number at a time.
For example: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
However when you reach a number that is in the 4 times-table I would like you to shout that number out.
Once you have done all the numbers in the 4 times table up to 12 x 4 which is 48 I would like you to do the same shouting out the numbers in the 8 times-table up to 12 x 8 which is 96.
If you make a mistake, start again from 1, let's see how many attempts it takes for each of you to get to 48 or 96.
Do you recognise any patterns in the two different times-tables?
