Welcome to Hawbush Primary School.
Message from Our Headteacher - Mr McConomy
Hello, welcome to our website. I am the Head Teacher here at Hawbush Primary School – I have the most amazing job in the world as every day I get to work in this wonderful school. There are so many fantastic things to tell you about Hawbush so I hope that you will find our website useful to you.
Iam incredibly proud to be the Head Teacher of this fantastic school.
Hawbush is located in Brierley Hill, Dudley and serves the local community and pupils from the age of 2 until 11.
Children start in our Nursery where they can join us for morning or afternoon sessions or full days taught by a qualified teacher and the excellent EYFS team. Children then progress through our school from Reception to Year 6 and are engaged in wonderful learning opportunities led by talented teachers and teaching assistants. We offer a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities and enrichment experiences. Children’s learning is enhanced by the excellent facilities which consist of spacious classrooms and corridors, a hall for PE and dining, healthy meals which are cooked on the premises; library and extensive school grounds with soft and hard play areas, and a large playing field. The building was completely redesigned and opened in 2011 with a modern, exciting environment for our children. We are also in the process of developing a state of the art nurture room and Two year olds Nursery.
As a school we strongly believe that education is most effective when there is a successful partnership between home and school. We work closely with parents and carers so that all children are able to take advantage of the learning experiences we offer during the school day and through extra-curricular activities in order for our children to reach their full potential in becoming lifelong learners. We guarantee that children will leave our school as confident, ambitious individuals who are ready for the next stage of their lives.
From the moment I walked into Hawbush I was amazed by what a wonderful environment the school offers and the focus placed upon working with the whole community to ensure our pupils thrive. As the Head Teacher, I hope to continue to build on the existing strengths of the school; retain the caring ethos that is in place at present and continue to work in partnership with the everyone to grow together to become a truly great school for our community.
It is incredibly difficult to do our school justice on this website, but we hope that we are able to give you a flavour of our school. Should you wish to visit then please do not hesitate to call the main office and I look forward to meeting with you and showing you around personally.
